World Teachers’ Day is celebrated in Australia usually the last Friday in October. This year, due to the Year 7 Market Stall, we held our celebration today. The SRC students catered and hosted a special morning tea for all our school staff to thank them for the incredible role they all play within the school. Everyone has an impact on student learning; the office staff, teacher aides, teachers, grounds and maintenance people, the principal and school board. The saying is so true ‘It takes a village to raise a child’. At Richmond Christian College it takes our entire school community to help parents and caregivers raise, educate and nurture their children in becoming confident and capable young citizens ready and able to make a positive impact in the world in which they live. School captains Jesse and Amy also thanked staff for their positive influence in shaping students’ spiritual and emotional wellbeing. Our incredible school community – another wonderful reason why we do what we do!
